There is a bar nailed to the wall, blocking the window. It's made of wood. It would not be hard to break. In fact, you wouldn't even have to break it. There's enough room that you could slip under it. The big window could be opened. It would fall and it would shatter, the metal frame bouncing on the green grass. And then, you could fly. To the buildings. To the trees painted with vibrant watercolors and the patterns molded into clay bark by squirrels. To the mountains. To the moon still visible in the day. Shattered with the window.

The red ink wells up from the paper, following the path of the brush. A thin brush made for details, silver hairs pulled to a point by shaking fingers. Whispering, stinging beauty, and the red ink runs. Then wiped away by something rough and wet, so the red ink is gone leaving just the impression but the red ink comes up again. wiped away again, faster, then covered with clear oil paint that stings from a tube, then smothering it a something squishy to protect from smudges. And the red ink bleeds through it. A question. Heartmoonstar. Red ink because it doesn't fade.
